Southern sea lions (Otaria flavescens)
Had a wonderful day diving at the sea lion colony of Cahuelmó, a little North from our station, in the entrance to the “side fjord”. We had a lot of sun and much fun with these curious guys.
When you see the large males you really understand why they are called sea LIONS, unlike the Californian and Galápagos sea lions, they have these massive necks, that look like manes. And also they do growl much more then the barking I was used to from Galápagos.
